Jessica Belo, Ph.D., has a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Social Action and master’s and doctoral degrees in Clinical Psychology. As a licensed psychologist, Dr. Jess has provided psychotherapy and integrated psychodiagnostic evaluation services for toddlers, children, and adults. She specializes in clarifying Attention-Deficit / Hyperactivity Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and other neurodevelopmental differences in people who are undiagnosed or have been misdiagnosed.

Dr. Jess still provides a limited number of psychodiagnostic evaluations, but has shifted her professional focus to coaching in response to years of interactions with neurodivergent people who’ve been misled to believe there is something “wrong” with them that should be “cured” or “fixed.”

Dr. Jess a fierce advocate for neurodivergence as an essential aspect of neurodiversity. She firmly believes that neurodivergence is not to be corrected, prevented, or cured, but embraced as it is authentically experienced by individuals who, like everyone else, have interests, talents, goals, hopes, and dreams for themselves.

Dr. Jess is a California native now enjoying four seasons (sometimes in the same day!) living in southeastern Michigan. In her free time, she likes to make lists, drink coffee, read, cook, watch movies, go to concerts, and “hike” (in flip-flops). Most of all, Dr. Jess loves spending time with her friends and family ~ especially her adult son & daughter, her wife of almost 20 years, and their four rescue dogs & four rescue cats.
